Starting Out at RSMB

Beginning my graduate journey at RSMB has been both welcoming and rewarding. Like many graduates, I felt nervous stepping into my first professional role, but the support from colleagues quickly put me at ease. From day one, I’ve been learning how data informs decision-making and have seen just how impactful our work is behind the scenes.

From Uni to Work

Studying during the COVID era taught me discipline and accountability, skills that have translated directly into taking ownership of projects here. The shift from student life to full-time work was daunting at first, but my academic background gave me the foundation and confidence to think, “Yes, I can do this.”

Supportive & Social Environment

Regular socials and networking events make it easy to connect with colleagues and learn from those with more experience. It’s helped me feel part of a wider team and build lasting relationships.

Growth & Development

RSMB invests heavily in training, with easy access to valuable courses. But the real learning comes through hands-on projects, where I’ve progressed from needing guidance to working independently, which has been especially rewarding.

Career Pathways

Seeing how past graduates have progressed into influential roles reassures me that there’s real opportunity here. Working with Barb has been especially rewarding, contributing to data that underpins the UK’s media landscape.

Personal Journey

Coming from a small village, stepping into a corporate role felt like a big leap. Now, I see it as an exciting opportunity to grow, learn, and explore new paths. Finding your rhythm in a new workplace takes time, but with patience and focus on doing the right thing, you can’t go wrong.
